    The EU SME Fund opens again on Monday February 2nd

    The EU SME Fund opens again on Monday February 2nd. Small and medium-sized companies can receive up to €2,500 in support to protect their innovation through a European patent application.

    The fund provides reimbursement for both the application itself and for professional advice on preparing and filing it. In previous years, the available budget was used up quickly, and interest is expected to be high again.

    Make sure you have a few key documents ready:

    - A bank statement showing the same company details as listed with the Chamber of Commerce;
    - A recent Chamber of Commerce extract.

    The fund is open to SMEs that meet the following criteria:

    - Fewer than 250 employees;
    - Annual turnover of up to €50 million, or a balance sheet total of up to €43 million.

    More information on eligibility and how to apply can be found on the BOIP website
