Algemeen Octrooi- en Merkenbureau (AOMB) is an international firm that advises and assists companies and institutions with all aspects of intellectual property (IP). Our clients range from small and medium-sized businesses to listed companies and foreign IP firms and we are leaders in IP and knowledge development.
AOMB has five offices in the Netherlands and works with firms in Germany, England and France through the AIPEX alliance. We have around 70 staff in total.
Having worked in the field of intellectual property for over 55 years we also have extensive knowledge of patents, trademarks, designs, licences, plant breeders’ rights and copyright. We are unique in our approach to our work. We have a strong position in the high tech sector and demand for our services is increasing. To continue to meet that demand, we are looking to recruit a patent attorney with a strong background in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, pure or applied physics, mathematics or a similar discipline. We are looking for an independent patent attorney who thrives on challenge and is keen to work in an informal business culture that provides plenty of opportunities for personal development and growth.

About you
As an attorney, you have a particular interest in intellectual property, with a focus on the high tech sector. You have academic qualifications in electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer science, pure or applied physics, mathematics or a similar discipline. You particularly enjoy dealing with complex information and ideally passed your EQE some time ago. You are ready to take the next step in your career as a patent attorney and develop your own client portfolio and you are looking for an employee that will offer you opportunities to do so. You enjoy working in an open atmosphere and business culture and like to work collaboratively. You will be keen to involve your AOMB colleagues actively to provide our clients with an exceptional service. You feel at home in an informal business where you have the scope for enterprise and where thoughts are naturally followed by actions. You share AOMB’s core values of ambition, resolution, integrity, solidarity and commitment. You speak and write English fluently and are available for a minimum of 32 hours a week.
