Employed at AOMB since

2024

Tim earned his master's degree in science and technology of nuclear fusion at TU Eindhoven in 2024. He did his graduate research at the research center DIFFER on the TU campus, working both practically and theoretically. There he investigated the lifetime of a tungsten divertor (special part of a nuclear fusion reactor).

Because nuclear fusion is a broad technical field, Tim has experience in several fields and areas of expertise. Therefore, working with patents really appealed to him.

In April 2024, Tim started as a trainee patent attorney. He is part of the High Tech team and can mainly be found at the headquarters in Eindhoven. With a background in nuclear fusion, Tim is focused on developments in various fields, such as materials engineering, optical (measurement) techniques, plasmas interactions, magnetohydrodynamics and electrodynamics. Furthermore, Tim is interested in quantum technology and artificial intelligence.

In his free time, Tim can be found on the hockey field and enjoys playing guitar or drums. Furthermore, he is interested in historical events and plays (computer) games based on them, such as Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron.
