The future of AgriTech is now hitting the market

    • Patents

From AI-driven precision farming and biological crop protection to alternative proteins, innovation in agriculture is no longer a vision of the future. What once seemed like the future is now hitting the market.

Farmers are integrating climate-smart practices to manage extreme weather, while precision agriculture and automation help address rising costs and labor shortages. At the same time, the EU’s Green Deal is accelerating sustainability efforts, pushing the industry toward resource-efficient and low-emission solutions.

In 2024, adoption rates of operations-focused technology grew significantly. Farmers globally are more inclined to adopt new technologies that directly improve operations. The US is leading with 61% of farmers using digital agronomy, 51% adopting precision agriculture hardware, and 38% implementing remote-sensing technologies.

By embracing new technologies and climate-smart solutions, agriculture is setting the foundation for long-term success.
