After completing his studies he worked at AKZO Zout-Chemie as a process engineer, before moving to the patents division of Sara Lee/DE. Working there kindled his interest in IP and he successfully completed courses in Dutch patent law. Deciding that he wanted to take this further and pursue a career in IP, he joined a Dutch IP firm as a trainee, subsequently qualifying as a patent attorney.

Wim works with the client to provide specific, customised advice. His personal approach is key to achieving the optimum outcome. As an experienced patent attorney, he coordinates the companies’ questions and tries to find the best solutions and people both inside and outside AOMB.
With his many years of experience in a wide range of technical fields and his analytical mind, he rapidly gets to the heart of a problem or an invention.

Wim is a calm, friendly and good-natured person who is always interested in people and new things.

He enjoys walking and cycling in his free time and is always keen to go to concerts, lectures or other cultural events.
