"A patent is not an objective in itself. It is merely a means intended to contribute to a company's profitability."

Started his study mechanical engineering at the TU/e Eindhoven in 1985 and, from 1992, after his military service, he worked at Stork FDO and Stork Patent Department. Peter has worked at AOMB since 2000, and is active in the SME Business Unit as a European and Dutch patent attorney and partner.

Apart from being experienced in drawing up and advocating patent applications, Peter has extensive (inter)national experience in infringement proceedings, invalidity proceedings, freedom-to-operate advice and portfolio management. He has an eye for detail without losing the big picture. As such, he is able to optimally advise his clientele and pragmatically in particular.

Honest advice is the best policy, Peter knows from experience. A patent is not an aim in itself: it’s merely a means with the purpose to contribute to the profitability of a company. Peter is not afraid to stick out his neck to give the most valuable advice.

In his leisure time Peter likes to relax. His hobbies are running, playing tennis and golf and making music and listening to music.
