For the final project of his Biotechnology study, Twan Uijttewaal worked in the patent department of the Wageningen University, where he engaged in IP Landscaping. That is where his interest in intellectual property was aroused. In 2016 he started working at AOMB as a Patent Engineer.
As a Patent Engineer, Twan offers substantive support to the Patent attorneys, by performing patent investigations, literature studies, research after the progress of the technology and patent monitoring, which he does meticulously and in a structured way.
Twan likes working on technical details and clinging to his projects. His motto is ‘if you do something, do it right'. He considers it important to get the maximum out of his projects, so that the Patent attorney can attain solid advice for his client. His affinity with different software systems comes in handy in his role as a Patent Engineer.
Twan considers humour very important. He is always in for a good prank. He has no big passions (yet), but he does have great hobbies, such as bicycle racing, watching films and series and gaming.
