Plant breeder’s rights
Plant breeder’s rights allow you as a plant breeder to protect your cultivation material, such as cuttings, flower bulbs and seeds of certain varieties. That way you can prevent others from reaping the rewards of the efforts you have made to develop a new variety. Plant breeder’s rights are exclusive rights and are valid for a maximum period of 25 to 30 years.
